The Light Electric Vehicle Association (LEVA) Announces
Technician Training in the Southeast of US
LEVA is excited to announce that they have released another date for their 2014 LEVA Technician Training program. The classes will include all three levels of training (Basic, Intermediate and Expert) over two 8-hour days. ProdecoTech is hosting the next round of the technician training classes at their facility in Oakland Park, FL (just north of Ft. Lauderdale) from Thursday, May 1st through Friday, May 2nd
– Level 1 (Basic) is a shorttraining course that provides an introduction for technicians to E-bikes, batteries, battery chargers, controllers, controls, displays, electric motors and wiring systems.
– Level 2 (Intermediate) is an 8-hour training course that includes electrical theory, how E-Bike components function, how to diagnose failures on all the components and how to replace failed electrical components. Students also learn how to set up E-Bikes, solder, make electrical connections, use multimeters, use DC clamp on meters, use motor-controller-throttle testers and how to install and interpret data from the Cycle Analyst power meter during the hands on training.
– Level 3 (Expert) is an 8-hour advanced training course that includes how to diagnose complex failures and repair components, how to operate a computer controlled battery analyzer and howto provide battery analyses to customers during the hands on training.
The cost for all 3 levels is $1000 for non-LEVA members and $500 for LEVA members and anyone is welcome to attend.The cost includes the training, course materials, and lunch on both days. Travel and lodging costs are separate.
